Talking about the intensity of the role, Mrinmayee Godbole shared, "One of the film’s most pivotal scenes was the break-up scene between Lalit and me. It’s a 13 min long, one take. The sequence required such visceral anger and emotional upheaval that I had to physically topple a treadmill. The scene is so destructive and the emotions so loud that neighbors at the shooting location gathered in a panic, thinking it was actually happening. It was one of the most physically and emotionally demanding sequences I have ever filmed."
Adding further, she said, "When you are in that moment, you aren't just acting, you are living that frustration. But as an actor, the people's reaction was the ultimate validation. It was exhausting, yet I went home that night with a quiet mind because I knew we had captured something honest."
Directed by Mohit Takalkar, 'Toh Ti Ani Fuji' marks a significant milestone in regional cinema. It follows a once-passionate love affair between a couple, played by Mrinmayee Godbole and Lalit Prabhakar, which turned toxic due to clashing personalities and unfair demands.
