*Watch MetaDrive redefine high-tech innovation on Shark Tank India Season 5*
From aerospace to now car simulator, Shark Tank India 5 seems to go soaring high in innovation. Meet Metadrive, that replicates the adrenaline of a high-speed race with the precision of pilot training. This cutting-edge startup has developed a sophisticated motion-based driving simulator that goes far beyond simple gaming. Designed for everything from professional automotive training to immersive entertainment experiences, MetaDrive uses advanced physics and motion tech to blur the lines between the virtual and real worlds.
The essence of the brand lies in its visionary founding team, Manish Kumar Malik, Chaitanya Malik and Suraj Juneja. A self-taught polymath, Manish’s obsession with innovation began with stargazing and led him through a deep study of Mathematics, Physics, and even ancient Indian texts like Bharadwaj Rishi's Vimanshastra. His dream of building spaceships eventually evolved into creating ground-level aviation and automotive tech. This rare blend of ancient wisdom and futuristic science impressed Shark Kunal Bahl to call him the 'Indian Leonardo Da Vinci.'
Seeking 90 Lakhs for 1% equity, the founders didn't just talk about their tech, they let the Sharks experience it. In a high-octane moment, Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal went head-to-head in a virtual race, with Anupam eventually claiming the victory. Beyond the fun, the Sharks were deeply impressed by the domestic manufacturing of such complex motion technology, questioning how Manish managed to build such intricate systems right here in India.
Sharing their experience founders said “At MetaDrive, our mission has always been to engineer professional-grade simulation experiences right here in India. Our focus remains on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in immersive racing and training. We are just getting started.”
