‘Zamaana Lage’, the first song track from Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu’s 'Metro...इन दिनों' is here, and it introduces a fresh, new-age ghazal crafted for today’s listeners. A heart-touching ode to a love lost, the song brings the union of the musical maestros – sung by Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh, composed by Pritam and lyrics by Indian poet Qaisar Ul Jafri and Sandeep Shrivastava, it sets the tone for what promises to be one of the most awaited song albums of a movie this year. In Basu’s world of complex urban relationships, this song treats as a glimpse into the silent heartbreaks set against the bustling metro cities that keep moving. After ‘Life in a… Metro’ and ‘Ludo’, Metro...इन दिनों is the final chapter of Anurag Basu’s trilogy of hyperlinked cinema.
The launch of Zamana Lage was as heartfelt as the song itself. Held at Yuhi Lounge in Mumbai, the evening saw the entire cast including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta, along with Director Anurag Basu, musical legend Pritam, Producer Bhushan Kumar (T-Series) and a stellar lineup of singers like Shashwat Singh, Papon and Raghav Chaitanya come together for a night filled with music, emotion, and cinematic soul. With the film’s stars and the musical team sharing their journey behind the album followed by a live performance by the singers in attendance, the launch offered a moving glimpse into the soul of 'Metro...इन दिनों'.
