*Circato reimagines construction with recycled plastic on Shark Tank India 5*
Over the seasons, Shark Tank India has spotlighted founders who are tackling real-world challenges with scalable solutions that balance profitability with long-term impact. In today's episode, the Sharks will meet the founders of Circato, a business focused on transforming plastic waste into resilient construction materials. Using honeycomb technology, the company recycles multi-layer packaging and converts them into durable materials that can be used in construction.
Founded by Praveen Crasta, T Paul Koshy and Sushma Joseph who bring their diverse expertise, aim to address the growing problem of plastic waste. Entering the season with an ask of 90lacs for 3% equity, Praveen has been working on honeycomb technology since 2007 as an alternative to thermocol. With Circato, they want to introduce concepts of fire- and disaster-resistant homes, zero-water construction models, and thermal insulation for glass buildings to reduce energy consumption.
Talking about their experince, the founders said, "Shark Tank India gives us a powerful platform to bring attention to sustainable construction and responsible choices while building our homes. Through Circato, we want to show that waste can be repurposed into meaningful solutions and encourage people to build in ways that are better for the environment and society."
