*ACTOR TRUPTI BHOIR ENTHRALLS THE AUDIENCE AT HER TEDx TALK IN USA*
Indian actor and mindset champion Trupti Bhoir was recently invited as a speaker by the prestigious Tedx Manhattan Beach, California USA. Her noteworthy work as a co-researcher, co-writer, co-producer and actor for her Bollywood debut film 'Paro' opposite Taha Shah Badussha and field work as a social activist was recognized by Kate from the organizing team that curates the annual Tedx event. 'Paro' is a gripping tale of courage and defiance where Trupti has essayed the brutal realities faced by women and teenage girls trapped in the Paro bride slavery system after being sold for cheaper than cattle into a life of torment and unimaginable abuse. The story gives a powerful message of hope, rebellion and change as the protagonist challenges the world to confront uncomfortable truths, daring society to question its assumptions and prejudices.
Trupti believes in cinema's power to create social change through emotionally charged storytelling. Elaborating on her Tedx experience, Trupti says, "It was a beautiful experience to be part of such a huge platform as elite minds from across the world came together to inspire goodness in everyone. While this season's speakers came from varied cultural backgrounds, a commonality that bonded all was the language of love and humanity propelled by congruent emotions. My Ted coach Nancy Doyle, my friend Ruhi Hak and my husband Satish Chakravarthy who has composed the background score for my film ‘Paro’ were very supportive and encouraging in my preparation and gave me the confidence to address 400 people in the audience. My talk ended with a resounding applause and a standing ovation for all the work I've done so far under my NGO Shelter Foundation for the cause I am relentlessly championing - to rescue bride slaves in India. This warm reception by the audience reinforced that my message has managed to reach people's hearts. I believe arts and advocacy go hand-in-hand. I hope to inspire action every step of the way ahead."
Continuing on a noteworthy streak, Trupti Bhoir now joins the league of coveted Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan who has had the opportunity to speak on the international Ted stage in the past. Trupti’s Tedx Talk will be officially released by Tedx in January 2026.
